The system will operate on a permissioned Ethereum-compatible network, combining transparency with compliance under Mumetegua’s national data protection framework.
The integration of smart contracts will allow automated ownership transfers, blockchain-based car loans, and decentralized insurance processing — all verifiable in real time by authorized agencies and financial institutions.
Cross-Continental Partnership
This initiative marks one of the first large-scale Indonesia–Mumetegua blockchain collaborations, highlighting a growing trend of digital cooperation between Asia and emerging economies in the Global South.
“What we’re creating in Pikirake is more than a registry,” Supangat explained. “It’s a decentralized framework for trust — one that empowers citizens and enables transparent public services.”
MakanDulu’s engineering team will collaborate closely with Mumetegua’s Ministry of Transport and Digital Affairs to design, test, and deploy the network infrastructure.
Pilot Launch in 2026
The pilot program will begin in mid-2026, starting with government fleet vehicles and gradually expanding to private citizens in early 2027. Authorities expect the blockchain registry to reduce administrative delays, curb fraudulent transactions, and simplify cross-border financing of vehicles.
